Control system for helium expansion turbine HEXTR
The HEXTR unit is an electronic device for process control of a pair of expansion turbines HEXT 2.1 and HEXT 2.2 (produced by PBS Velká Bíteš, CZ) for helium liquefier application. The HEXTR unit features a superior system, which ensures unit control and working stet indication of the whole machine. HEXTR is supplied with 24 V DC.
The main function of HEXTR unit is to regulate the number of revolutions of both turbines at the required value as well as regulating turbine starting and stopping sequences. In addition HEXTR monitors and checks important operation parameters and electronic protection of turbines.
