CAN bus data logging device
The CAN bus data logging device serves for logging of communication over the CAN data bus. Each received data packet is given a specific time mark, which shows the precise arrival time of data. The actual time mark is obtained from the internal real time clock (RTC), therefore it is independent of the global system time. Data logging on a common SD card allows further analysis and system monitoring on a PC.
Internal parameters of the CAN bus data logging device itself, such as internal time or data file management, can be controlled through the CAN bus by special commands. The module is typically powered from a monitored system DC bus or any auxiliary power source.
